even tried assigning a static IP address for the Wii to try and get it to connect using WPA2,
to no avail. To compromise, I have my router set to WPA2-auto, so computers in the house
can connect using WPA2 while the Wii connects using WPA.

Did your router work ? At first it worked very well. But suddenly, it stopped working for two of
my DS games (MKDS, AC:WW), but it still worked for Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. And then
later, I changed the router mode from "Open System" to "Shared Key". And by doing this, it
worked again.
Did you need to do anything else to get your router to work? As said higher, change
authentication mode from "Open System" to "Shared Key" in the setup page. It will still be
compatible with your other devices.
Other things: When there is a power failure, you have to pass through the whole installation
process (powering router and modem off, connecting cables, etc...), but it takes two minutes
and its easy, as long as you have kept the user manual.
Rating: ****, not the fastest router available, but does the job (almost) perfectly and is very
cheap.

Router works flawlessly. I have used both WPA and WPA2 (currently on WPA2 and never
WEP) and no issues. Signal strength is excellent through the ceiling/floor which is to be
expected from a Platinum product. If you plan on doing a lot of online gaming the QOS
(prioritizes traffic) engine will help with that if you are capable of setting that up (not too
hard). You don't need any extra setup past what you use for security (like Mac filtering or
encryption) or if you set static IP's for your network. I also used Orb to stream video/music
to the Wii until I got bored with it and it was flawless considering the Wii's limited abilities
(some files were too large for the Wii's small buffer) but regardless the streaming was great.
